The Paramour Sessions is the latest album by Papa Roach. All of the lyrics were written by the lead singer, Jacoby Shaddix.<3>
- To Be Loved: Very upbeat, with a bit of rapcore at the beginning. One of my favorite tracks.
- Alive N Outta Control: Very good. The bass really goes the extra yard on this track. I have this song on my MySpace profile :]
- Crash: With lyrics like "It's time for annihilation, it's time to be a criminal.." and "Live-Love-Life, Live-Love-Fight", this track is definitely that of rebellious.
- The World Around You: With lyrics like "We never fell in love, we only fell apart.." this track is definitely one of remorse mixed with a tad of hostility/animosity to the woman he was once with.
- Forever: Without a doubt one of the best tracks on the album. He's saying that no matter what happens, no matter who he's with or what he's done, he will always love her.
- I Devise My Own Demise: This track reminds me a bit of some punk rock song I heard a long time ago. :] Another of my favorite tracks, it has a strong bass sound (ahem Tobin Esperance.<3).
- Time Is Running Out: This song is also quite good. It basically says that even though everyone around him says he' s past his prime, he's going to keep rockin'.
- What Do You Do?: This song shows a bit of remorse. He says that no one ever taught him how to live or love. And that he's hurting everyone around him. A bit sad. :[
- My Heart Is a Fist: He's living a dead life. He has a hard heart, but he will fight again. A very good string orchestra bit at the end, and it shows us that Jacoby can sing along with anything.
- No More Secrets: Basically he's tired of the secrets and the lies. It's time to rant and it's time to rave. What goes around comes around.
- Reckless: He knows he's living a crazy life, and that it would take a crazy woman to love him, and that he's blessed to already have one that will.
- The Fire: My all-time favorite track. This song is about the ups and downs he has with the woman he loves. They fight, then make up, fall in, and fall out. But he's gotta love her, he's gotta have her. He doesn't want to let her down again.
- Roses On My Grave: He knows that he's going to die one day, and that he has a woman that will put roses on his grave.
Overall: Awesome album. I give it 5 out of 5
